Head-On Crash: Woman Killed, Another Injured In Manorville

Police are investigating a head-on collision on Long Island that left one woman dead and another seriously injured.

One Manorville woman was killed and another was seriously injured in a head-on collision on Tuesday, April 4 that police are investigating.

The incident occurred in Manorville at approximately 9:25 a.m. on Tuesday, April 4, according to Suffolk County Police.

Manorville resident Mary Brennen, age 40, was driving southbound on Wading River Road north of Par Drive, in a 2018 Hyundai Tucson, when she swerved into the northbound lane, police said.

Brennen’s vehicle struck 68-year-old Sheryl Gochman’s 2019 Nissan Rogue.

Police reported that the women, both Manorville residents, were taken to Stony Brook University Hospital via helicopter.

Brenned was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Gochman is reported to have sustained serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.

Detectives with Suffolk County PD are asking anyone who may have information about the crash to call the Seventh Squad at 631-852-8752.
